The Roero Valmaggiore Riserva expresses a rich and immediate perfume with perceptions of violets, raspberries and blackberries, enriched with elegant spicy touches. Excellent to enhance typical Piedmontese dishes such as game roasts, braised and overcooked. The harvest in this vineyard is carried out in two steps spaced a week apart, perforated boxes of about 18-20 kg are used to protect the integrity of the grapes in the best possible way up to the pressing. Maceration takes place in steel fermenters, where the fermentation temperature can be regulated, and lasts about a week. The wine then stops in carats (partly new and partly already used), in which the malolactic fermentation takes place, for 16 months, before being re-assembled in steel tanks. It is bottled in August and put on the market, after a year of bottle, three years after the harvest.
Roero Gorrini presents itself to the eye with a ruby red colour and is produced with Nebbiolo grapes. The nose develops aromas of violets and ripe fruit. On the palate it is persistent, warm and round.
This Roero Riserva DOCG San Giorgio on the nose is fresh and intense with hints of peach and red fruits, sometimes balsamic on the finish. The mouth, immediately fresh and pleasant, leaves room for the pulp which with its final sweetness accompanies the knowledge of a tannic texture of considerable importance and length.
