In order to preserve the characteristics of this product, it is sold in a vacuum-packed can. This rice is processed and packed entirely in the farm, in respect of nature and of the surrounding environment. By resting at a cooled temperature in a special environment, the rice grain tends to dehydrate: as a result it releases fewer proteins and vitamins in the cooking water, and absorbs the condiment more easily. Matured 1 year, 1 kg can.

This is the Carnaroli Extra rice produced by the Rondolino family at Tenuta Colombara in the heart of the Vercelli province. It is considered by the most famous chefs and gourmets one of the best rices in the world. Aquerello rice is perfect for any recipe thanks to its larger, firmer, more distinct, tastier and perfectly intact grains that do not stick but absorb the dressing better, keeping intact the starch, vitamins and proteins. Its remarkable worldwide success is due to the family's experience but also to the ability of combining tradition and innovation in its production. They are the only ones in the world that use both the maturing technique of the rice and a helical process, and they finally enrich the grains with the gems. The rice, matured at least for a year, is subsequently refined by the helix that acting slowly and gently, preserves the grains perfectly intact, contrary to what happens with modern processing. Finally the Acquerello rice is re-instated with its precious gems, recovering its most valuable nutritional properties.

Acquerello is a brand of Carnaroli extra-fine rice which is grown and packed by the Rondolino Family in their farm “Tenuta Colombara” surrounded by paddy fields in the main rice production area in Piedmont, near the city of Vercelli.Matured 1 year
