Description

This amaro is a forgotten traditional product from Piedmont. It was created by a 19th century botanist Domenico Ulrich, who in 1854 established in Turin a company producing extracts, perfumes and essences. The Marolo distillery has decided to bring back a revised version of this great product.
The amaro is made with 19 herbs, flowers and roots: the top note flavours are wormwood, gentian and aniseed. Marolo has therefore successfully renewed the tradition.

The barrique has developed spicy aromas in an exceptional way with very clear notes ranging from pepper to cloves, from nutmeg to brown tobacco, from anise to licorice.These first sensations accompany and reveal below fruity aromas of jam, cooked apple, dried plum, almond and walnut. Then again a hint of honey, all in an extremely frank whole.
