Description
The Cannubi hill is the most famous in Italy, it is the hill where everything is perfect: altitude, exposure, soils, position and microclimate give Barolo at the top of the denomination.
Michele Chiarlo has owned this vineyard since 1989 in an area with a lot of slope where terraces have been created. A very delicate job, which today however guarantees the integrity of the soil and fights hydrogeological instability.
This Barolo DOCG Cannubi has an intense, aristocratic, complex aroma with notes of small fruits, licorice, sweet tobacco.

A Barolo expression of a combination of vines, produced according to tradition. Played on the complementarity of the peculiarities of the individual vineyards, it is characterized by its unmistakable balance. A symphony of excellent grapes. On the nose it is a concrete wine, with few frills and a well-expressed varietal, respectful of tradition. The picture of olfactory pleasantness is completed by some hints of fresh red fruit, sweet notes of spices and dried flowers and a good complement of more evolved sensations. In the mouth it is enveloping, tasty and savory, with a thick and wrinkled tannic texture.
We were the first to begin producing this local selection, in 1988. This Barolo has a clear identity, representing the potency of the terroir of Serralunga and the elegance of the Fontanafredda style: floral, balsamic, vibrant and crisp. A wine with a long cellar life (at least 15-20 years).
The Prunotto soils are of an age attributable to the Tortonian - Messinian period, particularly rich in calcareous clays and elements such as magnesium and manganese. One of its main characteristics is certainly the complex and ample scent with hints of violets and undergrowth. The taste is full and velvety, very well-balanced.
The Barolo DOCG Tortoniano derives from a very demanding year for the management of the vineyard. The summer brought about two thinning and peeling steps to better preserve the perfect health of the grapes and the integrity of the skins. From August until the harvest, the climate improved and allowed an optimal ripening of the grapes. The Barolo DOGC Tortoniano has a broad taste, is of good structure with a texture of silky tannins that surprise by giving harmony already in the youthful phase of this Barolo.
Barolo Tradizione is a wine that comes from the famous Piedmontese Nebbiolo vineyards. The soils on which these vineyards are cultivated are characterized by a good slope, subsoil composed of argila and sand. It goes well with egg pasta traditions of the Langhe, meat first courses and red meat dishes in general. Be amazed by the harmony and complexity of this wine, always elegant in the mouth and with an excellent body to taste.
